Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy applies to the Scripture Journey mobile application, published by Jean Paul Consulting (JPC). In this policy, “Scripture Journey,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the application and its publisher.

2. Information and local data

Scripture Journey does not require registration or a user account. It does not ask for access to the device’s location, camera, microphone, contacts, phone number, or photos.

The application stores gameplay information locally on the device so that the journey can continue between sessions. This may include:

• selected language and age category;
• level progress, scores, streaks, and milestone results;
• Daily Word reading status; and
• music and other gameplay preferences.

This local information is not sent to Jean Paul Consulting (JPC) and is not used for advertising, profiling, or cross-app tracking.

3. Optional one-time purchases

Scripture Journey may offer voluntary one-time sponsorship purchases. These purchases are optional, provide no gameplay advantage, and are processed through Google Play Billing.

Google Play handles payment details under Google’s own privacy practices. Scripture Journey does not receive or store credit-card or bank-account details. The application receives only a purchase confirmation needed to complete the selected support option.

4. Optional question suggestions

A player may choose “Submit your Suggestion” on a question page. This action opens the device’s email application with helpful question context already prepared.

Nothing is sent automatically. The user can review, change, cancel, or send the email. If the user sends it, the email address, message, and any information the user voluntarily adds will be received at paulconsul2@gmail.com. Users should not include personal or sensitive information.

We use submitted suggestions only to review questions, improve translations, respond when appropriate, and maintain the application. We do not sell this information or use it for advertising.

5. Children’s privacy

Scripture Journey includes content for children as well as teenagers and adults. The application is designed to minimize data use: it has no account registration, advertising, analytics, public profiles, chat, social feed, or location collection.

Children should use the optional sponsorship and email-suggestion features with a parent or guardian. Kids mode uses an adult-check step before a purchase can begin. We do not knowingly ask children to provide personal information.

A parent or guardian who believes that a child has sent personal information to us may contact us. We will review the request and delete the information where appropriate.

6. External links and services

Scripture Journey may open the device’s browser or another application for optional features. These may include:

• Google Play for purchase processing;
• the device’s email application for suggestions;
• trusted Scripture websites for reading referenced passages.

These third-party services and websites operate under their own privacy policies. Scripture Journey does not control their data practices, and opening an external link is always optional.

7. Data retention and user choices

Gameplay information remains on the device until the user resets progress, clears the application’s storage, or uninstalls the application.

Emails voluntarily sent to us may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to review the suggestion, respond, prevent misuse, and improve Scripture Journey. A user may ask us to delete identifiable correspondence by contacting us from the same email address.

Google Play retains purchase records according to Google’s own policies and legal obligations.

8. Security

We limit data collection by design. Core gameplay works without a Scripture Journey account, and gameplay data stays locally on the device. Payments are handled by Google Play rather than by the application. No method of electronic communication or storage is completely secure, but we use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the limited information we handle.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when Scripture Journey changes or when legal and platform requirements change. The revised policy will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Material changes will also be communicated through the Google Play listing or within the application when appropriate.
